It is confirmed: the Portuguese MotoGP GP remains planned, but you will not be able to count on an public in the stands. The Formula 1 race at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve revealed, in the eyes of the government, the inability of the promoter to organize events with a public in the context of a pandemic. In a press conference, Prime Minister António Costa was asked about the possible presence of the public in the Portuguese round of the MotoGP World Championship. In his reply, he confirmed that spectators are not authorized: ADVERTISING As we saw last weekend, contrary to what happened in the most diverse activities – in the cultural sphere, in the religious sphere, in the political sphere, even in the sporting sphere – where there were events with a public where everything was well organized, where the rules were all obeyed and there were no problems, what happened in the Grand Prix is absolutely unacceptable and unrepeatable. Therefore, it has already been communicated to the promoter that the next motorcycle Grand Prix will not have an audience because the inability to hold events with an audience has already been revealed and therefore we cannot take risks again.
